This saturday I finally overcame the fear of getting adjusted to driving in the US. It was just the second time that I was driving outside India and after my very first scary experience, I concentrated a bit on understanding the various road rules and signs in the US. After feeling comfortable that I am able to interpret the rules and signs properly, I finally drove approximately 200 miles to Olympic National Park (+ around 50 to 60 miles in the park and 200 miles back). Drove through various streets in Seattle (Yes! I drove inside the city). Drove on Freeways with confidence and wait. The best part of the entire episode is that I got honked only ONCE (and that too because I was busy thinking whether to take a left and go to a gas station).
A small achivement after such a scary episode that I had the first time.
BTW I took a picture of the Crescent Lake, on our journey, and think it came well. Just have a look.
Pratap.
